School Tours

Most admissions begin with a tour of our campus for the family to obtain adequate initial information about our philosophy and practice. The school tours can be virtual (using the Teams platform) or in-person. Virtual School Tours may start at either 9:30 am or at 4:15 pm (Portugal time). In-person School Tours begin at 4:15 pm. There are also three Observation & In-Person School Tours scheduled this year.

In Person Observations

Observation & School Tour last for one hour starting at 9:30 A.M. It will start with a short observation in a Montessori classroom and a meeting with the school director will follow in the library.

There will be three in-person morning Observations & School Tours in the year 2025-2026:

  • On November 27 at 9:30 am
  • On February 19 at 9:30 am
  • On May 21 at 9:30 am

Open House

The Saturday Open-House is from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. Staff in attendance will give you a tour of the prepared environments and an opportunity to ask questions. It is possible to arrive between 10 A.M. and 12 P.M. In the week preceding the Open House information will be emailed to those families who signed up using the form below.

  • It is possible to sign up for a tour visit planned on the dates listed in our visit form (please scroll down). We do not give individual tours.
  • The Open House is an in-person event.

The MSA-CESS has granted Lisbon Montessori School accreditation based on how it fulfils the standards of the MSA self-study and peer review process which revealed that Lisbon Montessori School is effectively advancing the quality of educational experiences it offers its students and meets its responsibilities to the public and the profession of education.

Lisbon Montessori School CASA level (ages 3-6) has been fully licensed by the Portuguese Education Ministry. We are currently working with the Ministry on licensing our ELEMENTARY levels.
